The curriculum has been designed to provide an extensive understanding of the current legal framework regulating e-pharmacy in India. It elaborates upon the applicability of Information Technology Act, 2000, Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data Or Information) Rules, 2011 [SDPI Rules] and Consumer Protection (E-commerce) Rules, 2020 vis-à-vis e-pharmacy. It further analyses the provisions of Draft Drugs and Cosmetics Rules (Amendment) Rules and Draft Digital Information Security in Healthcare Act [DISHA] with respect to their applicability in the e-pharmacy sector.
